I think I have a hit in my lap! I gave this workshop with the kind folks from Music Pool twice already. Both times it was sold out on pre-sales and we had a fair number of people we had to turn away. A third edition is being planned for early fall.

The workshop covers the basics of modern, content-driven PR as it relates to music: defining key narratives, creating a strategy around the key narratives, creating a design and product ecosystem to support the key narratives and campaign, outlining a campaign strategy and defining a workable time line to execute. I also discussed how to creatively work around budget limitations in creating content, with emphasis on collaboration and community building. And like with all my workshops, I had to sneak in a bit on defining a safe space for the artist and implementing fair trade business approaches. I’m thinking that maybe the latter two points deserve workshops of their own. Maybe?
